TruSpec - Online Barcode Verification:

Patented TruSpec technology leads the way with on-line barcode verification. TruSpec is high-speed on-line technology that operates on flexographic, gravure, and variable data printing machines.

Operating at speeds in excess of 1500fpm, TruSpec will ANSI grade every code that passes under the scanner. Operators are alerted in real-time of deteriorating bar code quality.

With continuous feedback, on-line ANSI grading provides the best opportunity to catch printing problems as they occur. Print quality can be corrected before bar codes fail to scan. This means less waste and no product claims from your customers. With continuous monitoring throughout the run, you can be sure of the quality inside every roll you deliver to your customer.

Generating laser scans up to 2250 times per second, the TruSpec Profiler gives 10 scan coverage of UPC symbols at 1000fpm. TruSpec's patented signal process produces full ANSI analysis on each and every scan in real-time.

Fixed mounting on press means all measurements are stable and repeatable job-to-job, operator-to-operator, shift-to-shift. At any time during production, you can see the total number of codes scanned and how they were ANSI graded on the display. The distribution of grades can also be printed out for each individual roll or as a job summary. It is not unusual to see hundreds of thousands of codes verified in a job!

Flexographic printers using the TruSpec system report that bar width growth measurements allow continuous feedback on impression and plate swell throughout the run. In addition, contrast measurements correlate to the white ink opacity backing a bar code on clear film. The contrast measurements made by the TruSpec laser are absolute with a stable light source and fixed geometry. An operator can monitor and be alerted to decreasing background ink opacity by the Webscan system.

Whether you print a static code, an incrementing sequence, or a random database of codes, the TruSpec system will track each code and validate that the bar code contains the correct data. Not only will print quality be ANSI graded, but missing or wrong codes will be detected!
TruSpec Models:
Model 25 - Ideal for narrow web flexo applications or thermal transfer printers operating up to 500fpm. The Model 25 can be mounted on press or on a rewind table.
Model 100 - For high speed applications up to 1,200 fpm.
